Dennis attended college at both The University of Chicago and Portland State University. He obtained his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College in 1968, and immediately entered the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, where he was quickly assigned to major felony cases. Dennis went on to experience a rewarding career in both Oregon and federal maritime workers’ compensation law.
He has served on many workers’ compensation committees and subcommittees and has presented papers and speeches to many insurance and employer groups. Dennis has been recognized by his peers with an AV rating – the highest peer rating available by Martindale Hubbell. He is an avid outdoorsman – fishing and occasionally hacking a ball around a golf course.
